Bmore Urbana is a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for everyone. This Code of Conduct applies to all of our classes, workshops, socials, pop-ups, and events — online and in person. By participating, you agree to uphold it.

Everyone Is Welcome

We welcome dancers of every background, age, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, body type, and experience level. You belong here, and so does the person next to you.‍ ‍

What We Expect

• Treat everyone — students, instructors, staff, and venue partners — with respect and kindness.

• Practice good hygiene and be mindful of personal space.

• Consent is required on the dance floor. Anyone may decline a dance, and "no" is always respected — no pressure, no explanation needed. Dance within your partner's comfort and skill level.

• Keep hands, comments, and contact appropriate at all times.

• Follow the reasonable direction of instructors, staff, and venue rules.

What Will Not Be Tolerated‍ ‍

There is zero tolerance for:

• Verbal disrespect or abuse — insults, slurs, threats, demeaning or aggressive language.

• Physical disrespect or abuse — pushing, grabbing, rough or unsafe partnering, or any unwanted physical contact.

• Harassment of any kind — including sexual harassment, unwanted advances, stalking, or persistent unwanted attention.

• Discrimination based on any of the identities listed above.

• Intimidation, bullying, or retaliation against anyone who raises a concern.

Consequences ‍

We take this seriously and enforce it strictly. Anyone who violates this Code of Conduct may be removed immediately from the class or event without a refund and may be formally and permanently banned from all Bmore Urbana classes, workshops, socials, pop-ups, and events. These decisions are made at Bmore Urbana's sole discretion.

Reporting

If you experience or witness anything that violates this Code — or anything that makes you feel unsafe — please tell an instructor or staff member right away, or contact us privately at info@bmoreurbana.com. We will listen, take it seriously, and act. Reports are handled as discreetly as possible.
